Ather Energy Delivers 100 Units Of Its First Family Scooter, Rizta In Visakhapatnam

 Visakhapatnam, August 11th, 2024- Ather Energy, one of India’s electric two-wheeler manufacturers,

today delivered 100 Ather Rizta family scooters at its mass delivery event in Visakhapatnam at Novotel.

This is the largest single day delivery of the newly launched Rizta in Visakhapatnam.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said,

“We are excited to be delivering 100 Rizta scooters in Visakhapatnam today. With the growing

acceptance towards electric vehicles in Visakhapatnam, the market for electric scooters is also growing.

Moreover, Visakhapatnam being a family focused market, the response towards the Rizta has been

great. The Rizta has been built keeping family needs in mind and promises comfort, convenience and

safety. It is a reliable and practical scooter that comes with a host of technological features that enhance

the daily riding experience and is apt for family use cases.”

The Rizta is available in two models and three variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery, and a

top-end model Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery. The 2.9 kWh variants are expected to have a range of 123

km, while the 3.7 kWh variant will offer a range of 159 km. The Rizta has a large and comfortable seat

and offers a storage space of 56L - including a 34L underseat capacity and an optional 22L frunk

accessory. It also has a large floorboard that provides the rider with ample leg space. Additionally, the

Rizta has several safety features like SkidControl™, as well as features that were previously available on Ather’s 450 series of scooters such as FallSafe™, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Theft & Tow Detect, and Ping My Scooter.

Ather Energy is also committed to setting up charging infrastructure to ensure a seamless and hassle-free

experience for riders. Its network of fast-charging stations for two-wheelers, known as the Ather Grid,

provides access to 1900 fast-charging points across the country. The company currently has 200

Experience Centers across the country, where customers can test ride and purchase Ather scooters.

Ather has 2 manufacturing plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, one each for vehicle assembly and battery

manufacturing and an upcoming third manufacturing facility in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji

Nagar, Maharashtra.

The Ather Rizta S with 2.9 kWh will be priced at INR 1,09,841 (ex-showroom Visakhapatnam). The Ather

Rizta Z with 2.9 kWh and Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh will be available at INR 1,24,841 and INR 1,44,842 (ex-

showroom Visakhapatnam).
