Electrosteel empowers students through computer literacy programme in Tirupati district

  Around 140 students are benefitting from this training session   Tirupati/ Visakhapatnam , May 16, 2023: In this dynamic world, familiarity with technology has become an essential skill. In keeping with the vision of promoting digital education in rural India, Electrosteel Castings Limited a pioneer in manufacturing of Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings in India recently initiated a Computer Literacy Training under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to empower students residing in villages around Srikalahasthi in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh. ECL-Srikalahasthi, conducted Computer Literacy Programmes for around 140 students at Zilla Parishad (ZP) High School, Thondamanadu village, Tirupati district, for classes 6  to  9 students from June 2022 to April 2023. The training programme has been envisaged as a continuous CSR activity to be conducted year-round in different schools in Tirupati district.   ● 72% of smartphone users, which is 3 out of 4, in India experience low battery anxiety at a battery level of 20% or lower ● 65% of smartphone users go through emotional discomfort in case of smartphone battery drainage ● 60% are likely to replace their phone for better battery performance   India, 2023:   OPPO, a global smart-device brand, collaborated with analyst firm, Counterpoint, to release a consumer study on NoMoPhobia that stems from Low Battery Anxiety. This report highlighted that three out of four people in India have Nomophobia, the fear of being detached from their smartphone.     The report--titled NoMoPhobia: Low Battery Anxiety Consumer Study--delved into the consumer mindset to understand how dying batteries have become a major trigger for this phobia.     Commenting on the report,   Damyant Singh Khanoria, CMO, OPPO India , said,   “OPPO prides itself on its Technology Innovation, and we constantly rely on studies to understand consumer needs.
