Amazon to Hostits First-Ever Career Day in India on September 16;
Over 8000 direct job positions currently available in India
140 Amazon recruiters will offer over 2000
one-on-one career coaching sessions
for interested participants to help grow
in their careers at the company or elsewhere
Amazon today announced that it will hostits
first-ever Career Day in India on September 16. This virtual and interactive
event will bring together Amazon leadership and employees to share what makes
Amazon an exciting workplace, what is it like to work here and how the company
is steadfast in its commitment to help
India unleash its true potential in the 21st century.
Amazon also announced it is currently hiring for more than 8000 direct
job openings across 35 cities in the country, including cities like Bengaluru,
Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Kolkata, Noida, Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bhopal,
Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Pune, Surat. These job opportunities are spread across
corporate, technology, customer service, and operations roles.
Career
Day will feature interesting and informative sessions including a fireside chat
with Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy,
who will share his own career experience and advice for job-seekers. Amit Agarwal, Global Senior Vice President
and Country Head of Amazon India will deliver the opening India keynote,
followed by exciting panel discussions with Amazon leaders and employees to decode ‘Life at Amazon’, its unique workplace
culture and what makes Amazon a great place to work at.
As
part of the event, besides multiple global and India-focused sessions, 140
Amazon recruiters willconduct 2000 free,
one-on-one career coaching sessions with job seekers across the country.The
recruiters will offer advice on how to approach the job search process
effectively, resume-building
skills, and interview tips that will help candidates in their search for right
jobs.

Amazon today employs over 1 lakh professionals
across diverse areas like engineering, applied sciences, business management,
supply chain, operations, finance, HR to analytics, content creation and
acquisition, marketing, real estate, corporate security, video, music and many
more. India is the second-largest technology hub for Amazon with Indian talent innovating
for not just India, but also globally.
Amazon
is closely aligned to the government’s vision of a modern, digitally inclusive
India. Througha powerful panel discussion at the event, with panelists including
Raghava Rao, Vice
President Finance & India CFO, Amazon, Puneet Chandok, President,
Commercial Business, AWS India & South Asia, AISPL, and Mahendra Nerurkar,
CEO, Amazon Pay India, Amazon will share
the future outlook of three of Amazon’s fast-growing business areas in India –
Ecommerce, Financial Services and Web Services.The event will also feature a
fireside chat with Akhil Saxena, Vice
President, Customer Fulfilment Operations, APAC, MENA & LATAM, who will
talk aboutthe spectrum of work opportunities that Amazon creates across the
country, including small cities.
Through
other exciting panel discussions, attendees will also have the opportunity to

The one-on-one free career coaching sessions with Amazon
recruiters will be conducted over the two days of 16 and 17 September.
