HDFC Bank opens its first branch in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh


India, 2022: HDFC Bank today announced that it has opened its first branch in the temple town of Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh. The branch will offer new-age banking products and services to pilgrims visiting Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams ("TTD") from all over the world.

 

The branch was inaugurated by Mr. A.V. Dharma Reddy, IDES, Executive Officer, TTD, in the presence of senior officials of HDFC Bank.

 

Tirumala is a spiritual town in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. With the opening of the new branch, HDFC Bank now has 12 branches in Tirupati district. The bank has 262 branches in 139 cities across 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

 

Commenting on the bank's first branch in Tirumala, Mr. Tarun Chaudhury, Branch Banking Head, HDFC Bank said, "Our new branch in Tirumala will offer a bouquet of world-class banking products and services. We are committed to expand our presence in Andhra Pradesh and make quality banking products and services available across the state. We will continue to expand our branch network, especially in the unbanked and under banked regions of the state."

 

HDFC Bank's journey in Andhra Pradesh began way back in February 1999 when it opened its first branch in the state at Dwaraka Nagar in Visakhapatnam. Since then, the bank has been growing its presence across Andhra Pradesh through a combination of bank branches and digital banking initiatives.
