Canon India launches its mesmerizing new ad campaign titled, ‘Weddings by Canon’
• The campaign video was unveiled by film superstar Mammoottyvia his Instagram and Facebook accounts
• Directed by Jismon Joy, the campaign stars famous faces from the Malayalam and Tamil film industry, Mahima Nambiar and Govind Padmasoorya
• Shot in ‘God’s own country’Kerala, the campaign targets the audience of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala
Canon India today launched a regional ad campaign titled ‘Weddings by Canon’, in key markets of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the first phase. Unveiled by Mammootty, an avid Canon user himself, the TVC strengthens the brand’s commitment towards the wedding photography segment.

Through this campaign, Canon will reach out to “Just Born Couple” who are in the midst of planning one of their most memorable days in their life. The campaign highlights the crucial role of the wedding photographer in capturing their wedding moments. Canon empowers such wedding photographers and film makers to capture such moments in all its glory.
Leading photographers and filmmakers worldwide use the latest Canon digital cameras and lenses which are acclaimed for their precision optics, high speed processing, top notch AFtracking capabilities and incredible low light performance.
The ad film has been shot in Kerala which is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the country with its mist-clad mountains, beautiful beaches, and serene backwaters.

The ad has been conceptualized by Lights On Production Houseandstars many bigwigs of the Malayalam and Tamil film industry.
o It has been directed by Jismon Joy, who has had several box office hits in Malayalam cinema with movies such as Bicycle Thieves, Sunday Holiday and Vijay SuperumPournamiyum.
o Bringing soul to the ad film with his melodies is Filmfare award-winning music director, Kailas Menon.
o The still photographer of the campaign is Canon EOS Maestro, Reji Bhaskar who is a popular celebrity fashion photographer
o Playing the bride is the alluring Mahima Nambiar who is a famous Tamil and Malayalam actress, and the groom is played by Govind Padmasoorya, popularly known as GP who is a television presenter and actor in Malayalam films
