HCL Concerts and Rhapsody Music Foundation Present The Carnatic Quest


India, 2023: HCL Concerts, a platform aimed at identifying, nurturing and supporting the next generation of talent in the Indian classical performing arts space, today announced the third edition of The Carnatic Quest, in association with Rhapsody Music Foundation.  A one-of-a-kind Indian music contest, ‘The Carnatic Quest’ aims at recognizing and empowering senior-level Carnatic musicians in the age group of 18 to 30 years.  Interested participants are invited to showcase their exceptional skills in five categories including Vocals, Violin, Veena, Flute, and Percussion (Mridangam/Kanjeera/Ghatam/others). With a meticulously designed framework, The Carnatic Quest comprises four captivating rounds that will test and showcase the prowess of these musical prodigies. At the culmination of the contest, a total of eight winners will be announced- three in vocal, two in percussion and one champion each in violin, veena, and flute These musicians will also get an opportunity to perform and showcase their talent at the prestigious HCL Concerts platform.

HCL Concerts and Rhapsody Music Foundation introduced and conceptualized The Carnatic Quest in 2020 and Carnatic Quest Junior Edition in 2021 for Carnatic musicians in the age group of 15-30 years and 12 to 18 years respectively. Both the initiatives received an overwhelming response from Carnatic musicians across the country. This platform is designed to emerge as virtual musical pilgrimages attracting both, conservative and contemporary lovers of Carnatic music, while encouraging and promoting Indian classical music and dance across different age groups.
