Zolve Launches Global Scholarship Program: $50,000 Grant for US-Bound Students


 


     Zolve Global Scholarship will be awarded to 10 shortlisted students, who will receive $5000 each.

     Scholarship recipients will be selected based on a rigorous selection process, including Application Review, Interview, and Panel Discussion.

     This is the second scholarship program by Zolve.

India, June 2023: Zolve, a global bank that enables fair access to financial products for global citizens providing cross-border financial services, today announced its Zolve Scholarship Program. The scholarship fund of $50,000 will be distributed to 10 selected global scholars from around the world. The applications for the scholarship have been open since 15th April 2023 and will close on 30th June 2023. The program results will be announced between the 1st to 15th of August 2023.

 

The Zolve Scholarship Program aims to recognize young leaders worldwide who demonstrate excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for making a positive impact. The Scholarship will follow a comprehensive process, including interviews and panel discussions, and will be a recurring program every year. The program is open to all international students who are moving to or have moved to the US for a full-time undergraduate/postgraduate/doctorate program of 12 months or more with a start date in 2023. Apart from financial assistance, Zolve Global Scholars will receive support and mentorship from Zolve’s senior team and will have the opportunity to engage with them for guidance tailored to their respective fields. Furthermore, scholarships are not restricted to just tuition fees, and students are free to use the grant as they deem fit.

 

The US is a popular country for many to pursue higher education. In 2021- 22, 2 Lakh Indians chose the US for higher education, which has shot up 19% over the preceding year. Among all the international students in the US, the Indian diaspora forms the largest group, with 20% of international students from India, making Zolve's scholarship program an excellent opportunity for students from India.

The selection process will be conducted by an esteemed panel of distinguished experts renowned for their exceptional achievements in their respective fields. The panelists include:

 

     Krishnamurthy Subramanian: Former 17th Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, currently serving as the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

     Steve Freiberg: Former Co-Chair and CEO at Citibank, vice chairman of the board at SoFi, and retired board member of Mastercard.

     Gregg Gerst: Former Director & Head of Worldwide Financial Services at Apple. He holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley

     Bharat Poddar: Managing Director and Senior Partner & Global Co-Lead Banking at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading global management consulting firm. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business

     Ashish Gupta: Managing Director & Co-founder at Helion Advisors and Co-Founder of Junglee. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University

     Drew Glover: Founding Partner at Fiat Growth and General Partner at Fiat Ventures. He holds a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley

In the previous program in 2022, Zolve offered scholarships worth $25,000 to 25 students that helped them pursue higher education in universities such as Berkeley, New York University, and Boston University, among others.
